Why buy a tree when the city of Ottawa is handing them out for free. As part of the City of Ottawa's Reforestation and Environmental Enhancement (TREE) Program the city of Ottawa is giving away free trees. The program is a four year initiative that aims to enhance the City of Ottawa’s urban and rural forests through the planting of 100,000 trees between 2007 and 2010 and the best part is anyone can help out.
You can participate in the program by either picking up and planting a tree for yourself or suggestion a location for a new tree to be planted. Authentic Landscape and Construction will plant the tree for you at minimal cost. To get your own tree free of charge from the City all you need to do is register for a spring pick up, it is first come first serve basis. Hurry up don't miss out.
